Lens focal bracelets…

Sam would absolutely love to have these accessories on his wrist!

Cheaper than the actual lens I say!

I saw Cinematic Orchestra last night as part of Ninja Tune XX anniversary series featuring the talented Dorian Concept and the London Metropolitan Orchestra.

Night was topped off when Patrick Watson made this special guest appearance as part of the encore. I doubt many in the crowd were dry-eyed after this performance. Words cannot describe how it felt to be there. Totally powerful.

M.I.A’s gig at Brixton O2 Academy this week was a lot of fun. I don’t quite know how to classify her rapping, rambling,  political music but I guess that’s how she’s developed such a cult following over the years.

The songs from her new album were a little boring, but she did bring back a few oldie crowd pleasers. Shame she only played a one hour set as she was only just getting the crowd going when she closed with ‘Paper Planes’.

How’s this for a Halloween costume?

Spot the difference…

This guy went to the effort of painting his clothes to create the correct shadows and together with a bit of face make-up created a ‘living  Banksy’ .. Shame about the booze bottle!

I really love Autumn.

The skies are blue and the air is crisp.

The streets are coloured in shades of green, amber and brown.

It’s cold enough for a coat, without the need for gloves or scarfs.

It truly is London at its best.

Do we really think this is real?

For those who don’t know, Gordon Ramsay has just unappointed his father-in-law as CEO of Gordon Ramsay holdings. He wrote the below letter to his mother-in-law after they asked Gordon’s family to stay away.

A good read in any case.

The face of Sydney

November 9, 2010

How they thought they could produce a single image is beyond me, but glad to see after analysing the demographic a bit they went on to produce a ‘face’ for specific Sydney suburbs.

I cannot believe that I spent  so many years of my life studying Chinese, only to forget so much.

This story, written all using characters pronounced with different intonations of shi is a perfect example of how beautiful (yet frustrating) the language is…

HMS Origami

Row, row, row your boat.

Gently down the Thames.

A german-made paper boat sailing through London town.

There is one piece of graffiti along the Regents Canal tow path between Kings Cross and Camden that is constantly evolving. What was once a long standing King Robbo staple has been graffitied on by Banksy, then King Robbo, Banksy again and now finally King Robbo.

Looks like there is another North London battle happening as another of Banksy’s graffitis has been messed around with…
